Spring/Mother's Day

Today I am posting many links for ideas for Mother's Day Art.  Some of these will be done as demonstrations in this week's classes but I thought I would post more in case students want a few different ideas.

Some of the best gifts for Mother’s Day are the special keepsakes that our kids make us. Our favorite keepsake crafts are handprint & footprint art, it’s so fun to see how much they grow from year to year. And our latest handprint art includes this super sweet cupcake card perfect for Mother’s Day or … #artsandcraftsgifts,
This painting could be done by cutting a toilet paper roll vertically, then re-rolling it so it has a pinwheel look.

Lastly for the older students, using the artist Georgia O'Keefe as inspiration, making large scale floral paintings to explore texture is a great spring art project.
